All auditions and registration fees are non-refundable.

Please submit your audition form and video, and payment by the due date. Submission of an audition does not constitute registration.

If your audition video is accepted, you will receive an invitation email from VKIBC. Please submit your Administrative Entry fee and Registration form, liability waiver, music, and payment by the due date.

All music must be submitted in MP3 format by email (vkibc.registrar@gmail.com) no later than the registration deadline. Music received after the registration deadline will incur a $100 late fee.

The maximum performance lengths are:
Classical Competition – Contemporary Solo: up to 2.5 minutes
Contemporary Competition – Solo: up to 3.5 minutes
Contemporary Competition – Duet: up to 4 minutes
Contemporary Competition – Ensemble: up to 4.5 minutes

Music that exceeds the time limit or is not submitted in MP3 format must be corrected and resubmitted before it can be accepted.

Yes. Please make sure you submit the exact music you intend to use during the competition. Double-check that the file is the correct recording, is in MP3 format, and meets the required time limit before sending it.

No. In the Classical Division, participants in the Student, Junior, and Senior categories must perform their classical variation and one additional solo, which may be either Contemporary or Neo-Classical.

Participants in Contemporary Divisions 2 and 3 must present two works. These may be:
One Neo-Classical work and one Contemporary work, or
Two Contemporary works.

You may pay by PayPal, US check, credit card, Apple Pay or wire transfer.

All participating dancers and registered coaches must pick up their official event badges at the registration desk on Registration Day. Badges are required for dancers and coaches to enter the theatre during the competition. Please also verify your music on this day to ensure we have the correct version and tempo.tem description

Badges provide full-day access to the theatre throughout the competition. To maintain a secure and private environment for all performers, badges must be worn and visible at all times.

Dancer admission is complimentary; coaches and family members must purchase tickets.

Backstage areas are strictly limited to performers and authorized staff. Dressing room access is reserved exclusively for coaches with dancers in the Pre-Youth divisions. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping these areas secure and private.

Standard stage lighting will be used; custom lighting plots are not permitted.

Access is restricted to staff only. Our professional sound technician will manage all audio, and individual stage rehearsals will be provided for all performers.

Rehearsals will be held in performance order. A detailed schedule will be posted on our website prior to the competition.
