Regina Kaupuza

Regina Kaupuza, was a professional ballet dancer at Latvian National Opera from 1972-1991. Dance pedagogy has always tempted her. After graduating  dance pedagogy in Moscow Choreography Academy in 1983. she started as coach at  Latvian National Opera. Later, he started working at the Riga Choreography School as a classical dance teacher and also a caracter dance teacher. She is also a  instructor in classical dance methodology at Choreography Department of Latvian Academy of Music  from 2000 

Today she is the artistic director of Riga Choreography School. 

 

She is also a choreographer at the same time. Her ballet Snow “White and seven dwarfs” is  also staged at the Warsaw Ballet School in 2015. Since 2002 – artistic director, Ballet and Dance guild of Latvia. and  the founder  of International Baltic ballet competition  since 2013.

* 1981-1983 – Moscow Academic School of Choreography, degree in classical dance, character dancing and historical dancing

* 1963-1972 – Rīga School of Choreography, diploma as ballet artist
